Our Story

Lino, originally from Venezuela, moved to Manchester without speaking a word of English, having spent several years living in Italy. Arriving with dreams of postcard-perfect England — rolling countryside and charming cottages — he instead found himself in Rusholme, about as lively and urban as it gets. Thankfully, that unexpected beginning led him exactly where he was meant to be.

Ant had moved to Manchester from Evesham at eighteen to attend university, and the city quickly became home.

For much of their adult lives, both had been single, each hoping to find a meaningful connection but never quite meeting the right person. That is, until one day, after what felt like endless scrolling, their profiles crossed paths online.

They arranged to meet for coffee at Grano in Hulme. Lino was late — Ant was annoyed (as he often is) — but from that very first meeting it was clear something was different. What began as a simple coffee quickly became the start of something neither of them had expected, but both had quietly been hoping for.

Before long, Ant had practically moved into Lino’s apartment, having spent most of his time there anyway. Six wonderful years later, they share a home — their perfect little palace — something they still pinch themselves about. It is a space filled with love, laughter, and the life they have built together.

Their families have become part of that story too — a joyful blending of cultures that has brought both lively moments and unforgettable adventures.

After years spent searching, they finally found home in each other, and now look forward with excitement to everything the future holds.
